1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of Hümr (the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Service Description

Hümr is a platform where users can create rooms and interact with other users through comments and voting. The platform is centered around sharing humor and comedy content.

3. Account Registration

To use our Service, you must register for an account by agreeing to these Terms and following our registration process. Your account will be created upon our approval of your registration.

We may refuse to approve your registration if we determine that:

  • You provided false information during registration
  • You have previously violated these Terms
  • We otherwise determine that your registration is inappropriate

4.2 Discriminatory or Offensive Expressions

  • Expressions that promote discrimination based on race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, etc.
  • Defamation, slander, or privacy violations against specific individuals or groups
  • Threatening, stalking, or harassment
  • Non-consensual racist expressions or jokes

4.3 Sexual or Inappropriate Content

  • Strongly obscene expressions (mild suggestive expressions are acceptable)
  • Child pornography or child abuse content
  • Expressions that promote sexual exploitation or human trafficking
  • Violent sexual expressions

4.4 Other Prohibited Activities

  • Infringing on intellectual property rights including copyrights and trademarks
  • Destroying or interfering with servers or networks
  • Activities that may interfere with Service operations
  • Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
  • Collecting or accumulating personal information of other users
  • Using the Service for fraudulent purposes
  • Activities that cause harm, damage, or discomfort to other users
  • Impersonating other users
  • Unauthorized advertising, promotion, or commercial activities
  • Activities aimed at meeting strangers of the opposite sex
  • Providing benefits directly or indirectly to anti-social forces

5. Content Handling

5.1 User Content

You retain ownership of content you post (text, images, videos, etc.). However, you grant us a license to use such content within the scope necessary for display and distribution on our Service.

5.2 Content Removal

We may remove content without prior notice in the following cases:

  • Inappropriate content reported by other users

6. Humor and Comedy Guidelines

  • Expressions that mock physical or mental characteristics
  • Expressions that trivialize violence or death
  • Expressions that excessively emphasize sexual content

7. Service Suspension

We may suspend or discontinue all or part of our Service without prior notice in the following cases:

  • When performing maintenance or updates on computer systems
  • When Service provision becomes difficult due to force majeure such as natural disasters
  • When computers or communication lines stop due to accidents
  • Other cases where we determine Service provision is difficult

8. Account Restrictions and Termination

We may restrict your use of the Service or terminate your account without prior notice if you:

We make no express or implied warranties regarding the Service, including but not limited to safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, fitness for a particular purpose, security, freedom from defects, errors, bugs, or rights violations.

We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of our Service. However, this limitation does not apply if the contract between us and you constitutes a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act.

We may change the Service content or discontinue the Service without notice to users, and we are not liable for any damages resulting from such changes.

12. Changes to Terms

We may change these Terms at any time without notice to users. If you continue to use the Service after changes are made, you are deemed to have agreed to the modified Terms.
